Drawn Sink Factory in China: How to Choose a Supplier

Sep 18, 2026

Buyers who search for a drawn sink factory usually need three things at once: a supplier who can hold a consistent bowl shape across repeat orders, a lead time they can plan a shipment around, and payment and delivery terms that fit their own cash flow. Below is how the product is actually made, what to verify before you commit, and the commercial terms you should expect from a factory in Guangdong.

What "drawn" or "pressed" means

A drawn sink, also called a pressed or machine-made sink, is formed from a single sheet of stainless steel pressed and stretched over a die. The bowl comes out as one continuous piece with no welded seams, which is why the geometry is highly consistent from unit to unit and why drawn sinks dominate volume production and price-sensitive ranges. The alternative is the handmade sink, where flat sheets are cut, folded and welded: it allows deeper bowls and tighter corners, but the labour content per piece is higher.

What to verify in a drawn sink factory

  • Press capacity and tooling. The tonnage of the press and the number of dies on hand decide which bowl sizes and corner radii a factory can genuinely produce. A factory with few dies will push you toward its standard footprint.
  • Material documentation. Ask for 304 grade with certificates, and measure sheet thickness on the finished bowl rather than trusting the number printed on the quotation.
  • Weld and trim quality on a drawn sink. Even a pressed sink has welded components at the drain hole and overflow, so a production sample still matters.
  • Surface treatment. Satin, polished, nano coating or PVD colour — ask how each finish is tested, and how it behaves after repeated cleaning.
  • QC routine. Whether inspection is 100% or by sampling, and what happens to a batch that fails.
  • Capacity versus lead time. A factory that promises short lead times in peak season should be able to show its production scheduling.

Commercial terms to expect

Terms are where most first orders go wrong, so compare them explicitly rather than assuming they are standard across suppliers. For reference, these are the terms TEGAO works to:

  • Minimum order quantity: 100 pcs per item
  • Production lead time: 35-45 days
  • Trade terms: EXW, FOB, CNF
  • Payment: T/T, L/C
  • Port of loading: Guangzhou / Shenzhen
  • Brand: TEGAO or OEM

OEM, ODM and the brand question

Most importers eventually face the same decision: sell under an established factory brand or build their own. TEGAO supplies both ways. Standard models can ship under the TEGAO brand, or under your own branding with your packaging and labelling. Where a customer needs a variation that does not exist in the current range, the more useful conversation is about tooling and the volume needed to justify it, rather than about a price list.

Models that are ready to order

These single bowl models are in current production, so they can be quoted and sampled without new tooling:

The wider range is organised under pressed (drawn) sinks, including the R15 series, single bowl and double bowl ranges, as well as handmade sinks, granite sinks and bathroom basins.
